Bruneian youths head to Japan for leadership programme
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN) - Ten Brunei representatives left for Japan yesterday to participate in the 26th Asean+ Timor Leste Youth Leader Exchange JENESYS inbound programme.
Sending off the delegation was Head Officer of Youth and Sports Hajah Noor Maslina binti Haji Sulaiman.
The delegates will be divided into four different programmes where they will take part in various activities throughout the eight-day programme such as learning the culture and arts of Japan, attending workshops and lectures, as well as visiting various locations and homestay. The programme aims to create an understanding as well as building ties and cooperation among the people of Japan and Asia-Pacific region.
The programme also encourages an understanding on social, economic and cultural interests of ASEAN and Japan along with discussing peace and prosperity.
