CDC Approves the US$ 362.71 Million Investment Projects

PHNOM PENH (Rasmei Kampuchea Daily /ANN) - From June 15-now, the Investment Committee Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) endorsed 7 investment projects in total US$ 362.71 million, according to the CDC's news release.

Those investments are including the farming, food processing, energy, real estate, resorts, and iron, it added.

These investment projects are expected to create nearly 6,000 jobs for Cambodians.

The first approval is to Kampong Speu Plantation Co. Ltd for growing sugarcane and its processing factory in Oral district. This investment worth US$ 85.55 million and employed 2,290 workers.

The second, to Schneitec Energy Co, Ltd, to build the 115 kilovolts transmission line from Siem Reap to Odar Meanchey to link to Phnom Penh worth US$ 80.60 million and can generate 413 jobs.

The third, to Nan Hai Real Estate Development Co. Ltd to build and operate a 5 stars hotel in 500 rooms and trade center in Preah Sihanouk province worth US$ 86.56 million and will create 1,848 jobs.

The fourth, to Hein Li Properties Co. Ltd to build and operate the 4-star hotel in 149 rooms in Preah Sihanouk too worth US$39.37 million, and will create 241 jobs.

The fifth to Lyly Kameda Co. Ltd for to build a food processing factory in Phnom Penh worth US$ 9.12 million with 153 jobs.

The sixth to Hai Sheng Steel Co, Ltd to build metal processing factory worth US$ 31.07 million with 106 jobs.

And the seventh to GR Food Cambodia Co. Ltd to create animal farm in Kampong Speu with US$ 30.44 million in total of 661 jobs.
