Dealing with typhoon garbage speeding up

TOKYO (The Japan News/ANN) - The removal of typhoon-related waste continues in areas hit hard by flooding.

Three months on from Typhoon No. 19, which caused widespread devastation across eastern Japan, the removal of typhoon-related waste continues in areas hit hard by flooding.
The removal of disaster-related waste from 564 garbage pickup points to five suburban makeshift collection sites had been completed by the end of last year in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture.
On Sunday, about 20 workers were busy sorting through the mountains of damaged refrigerators, washing machines, furniture and other typhoon-related waste, ahead of their removal to processing plants.
