Katuwapitiya church reopens on July 21

COLOMBO (The Island/ANN) - The St Sebastian’s Church at Katuwapitiya, to reopen on July 21, three months after being attacked by Islamic terrorists on the Easter Sunday.

The St Sebastian’s Church at Katuwapitiya, attacked by Islamic terrorists on the Easter Sunday, would reopen on July 21, three months after the carnage, Rev Anthony Jayakody, Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo told reporters on Wednesday at a news conference at the Colombo Archbishop’s House.
A special mass for the repose of the souls would be held on the day of the re-opening, in memory of the victims of the Easter Sunday attacks.
