Malaysia names new central bank governor

KUALA LUMPUR (The Star/ANN) - Deputy governor Muhammad Ibrahim will take over as new governor after Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz retires.

Deputy governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, Muhammad Ibrahim has been appointed as the new governor for five years, effective from May 1, according to the Prime Minister's Office on Wednesday (April 27)

Muhammad will take over from Dr Zeti Akthar Aziz who retires on April 30.
