Dr Mohamad Maliki was accompanied by his spouse, Sadiah Shahal, during the Hari Raya open house at the Minister of Development’s residence in Kampong Bengkurong.

The Singaporean delegation also included Parliament Members Joan Cheng Sim and Kwek Hian Chung, who were accompanied by their spouses; Singapore High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Lim Hong Huai and Deputy Singapore High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Raymond Chow Hee Chung.

Also on hand to welcome the Singaporean delegation were Deputy Minister of Development Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin and his spouse, Hajah Hajizah binti Metayer; Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development (MoD) Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak; and Permanent Secretary (Infrastructure, Housing and Professional)  at the MoD Haji Amer Hishamuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Amar Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Zakaria and his spouse, Hajah Husnah binti Haji Damit.

Both ministers exchanged souvenirs before concluding the Hari Raya visit.

Since the first day of Syawal last Thursday, the Singaporean delegation has been visiting open houses hosted by Cabinet Ministers, deputy ministers and other prominent local figures.

The goodwill Hari Raya visits from the Singaporean delegation is a testament of the warm and close relationship enjoyed by Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.
