Trump leaves Manila ahead of Asean Summit conclusion
MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN) - US President Donald Trump is headed to Hawaii after attending the 31st Asean Summit in Manila.
United States President Donald Trump left the Philippines on Tuesday after attending the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit in Manila.
According to a source, Trump left at 3:18 p.m. via the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and is headed to Hawaii.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed that Trump has left the Philippines.
Trump skipped the Asean-East Asia Summit after the start of the meeting was delayed. The meeting was supposed to start at 1:30 p.m. while Trump was scheduled to leave at 3:00 pm.
Roque said Secretary of State Rex Tillerson represented Trump in the meeting.
