German citizen dies in car accident in Brunei

BANDER SERI BEGAWAN ( Borneo Bulletin/ANN) - A 24 year old German man died after the car he drove collided into a metal road divider and hit a lamp post along the Lumut-Telisai Highway heading towards Telisai.

The Tutong Police Station of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) confirmed the incident that claimed the life of Marius Malchow. An emergency call to 993 was received at around 12.50am yesterday.

According to preliminary investigations, the victim was taken to the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital (PMMPMHAMB), Tutong, by ambulance and was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.

A post-mortem examination will determine the cause of death.

The RBPF reminded the public to be alert and follow the speed limits.
